Add cells by tapping empty squares, then press Run and let ordinary Life rules take over. Tap a cell again to take it back.
Dirt is the ochre stuff already on the board. You cannot remove it by hand — only Life can.
Rock is inert: nothing lives on it and you cannot build there.
These boards do not wrap, unlike the other two modes. Cells that reach an edge fall off, which is often exactly what you want.
Clear, Hold on and Bloom targets are proven. A solver tried every placement of one cell, then two, then three, and simulated each. When a board says one cell is enough, one cell really is enough — and when it says 55 is the most you can grow it to, nothing does better.
Sweep targets are the best known, not a proof: they come from searching gliders, spaceships and other patterns at every position. Beat one and you have found something the search missed.
Level numbers show ★ when you matched the target and ✓ when you finished short of it. Stuck? Reveal shows an answer, but the level is then marked as revealed rather than scored.
